Antojitos El Atoradero: Where Flavor Meets Family Tradition

Antojitos El Atoradero stands as a cherished family-owned taqueria, renowned for its delectable homemade recipes and its signature blue flour tacos. Originating in a modest Bronx kitchen, the family persevered tenaciously to carve out their place within the restaurant marketplace, overcoming adversities, including challenging business partnerships.

Upon finding their abode at 636 Degraw Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn, the taqueria embarked on a journey to forge a Mexican-influenced brand identity, one that would be the visual essence of their establishment. For this task, they turned to ALBOE.

ALBOE ingeniously interwove Mexico's national flag and its historical narrative into the branding. The legend recounts the Aztecs' quest for their ancestral homeland. During a period of reprieve, the Aztec deity Huitzilopochtli visited the tribe's leader in a dream, instructing him to conclude their migration upon encountering an eagle devouring a serpent atop a prickly pear cactus. Upon witnessing this exact scene, the Aztecs settled on the land that would eventually become Mexico City.

Drawing parallels between this tale and the family's struggle within the industry, the logo, menu, and banners embraced the vibrant colors of the Mexican flag, seamlessly intertwining the narrative behind it. This approach not only encapsulated the family's cultural heritage but also served as a visual representation of their enduring determination and connection to their roots.
